- Old Town North of Truman

Old Town is the heart and soul of Key West, where island time meets bustling nightlife and Key West’s oddball yet historic essence. North of Truman, you’ll discover an area that was occupied by Bahamian settlers and New England shipwrights in the 1800s, and reflects that with a mix of Victorian mansions, shotgun single family homes, and classic conch architecture. Most homes in the area were crafted of Dade County pine and feature gingerbread trim, metal roofs and cheery pastel colors on both exterior and shutters. Here you will find much of the island’s cultural heart: Tropic Cinema, Red Barn Theatre, Waterfront Playhouse, tourist attractions, art galleries, historic monuments, restaurants and bars.
